According to the composers Hungarian Magdi Rúzsa had the best song of the year.

Since 2002 Marcel Becanson Awards are presented in three categories. This year´s winners are:
The Composers´ Award: Unsubstantial Blues, Magdi Rúzsa
The Press Award: Danzing lasha tumbai, Verka Serduchka
The Artists´ Award: Molitva, Marija Serifovic
The award is named after the man who created the contest way back in 1956 and was established by Eurovision winner Richard Herrey and Christer Björkman.
